Donation - to save Moon Bears

Hi everyone, in order to save the Moon Bears, I've decided to donate some of the proceeds from selected sold handmade goods to Animals Asia Foundation which was founded by Jill Robinson in 1998.  To find out more about Animals Asia Foundation, please visit http://www.animalsasia.org 

I will scan the receipt** (I've a receipt shown below for the donation made by me on the 4th of January 2011). I will inform those lovely customers that have made purchases from me once I've made the donation. The donation amount would be accumulated to US$50 & above before I make a donation. Please help these poor Moon Bears. They remind me of 'Care Bears' because they have a moon on their chest. They're also known as the Asian Black Bear or White-chested Bear. Look at those lovely Mickey Mouse ears of these Moon Bears.

In countries across Asia, thousands of bears live a life of torture on bear farms, so that their bile can be extracted and used in traditional medicine to cure ailments ranging from headaches to haemorrhoids. Bears are confined in cages which vary from agonisingly tiny "crush" cages to larger pens, all of which cause terrible physical and mental suffering. The bile is used to treat illnesses from headaches to haemorrhoids but synthetic drugs have been shown to be just as effective.
